OBJECTIVES | ||||||||||||
The degree in Topographic Engineering aims to provide solid and balanced training in the different areas of topographic engineering, namely in the area of geographic sciences and with broadband characteristics, allowing graduates to have broader professional opportunities and an easy adaptation to the demands of the job market. At the end of the training process, the graduate can integrate multidisciplinary teams to develop projects in the areas of GIS, multifunctional land registry, hydraulics, and land use planning, among others. The course is registered with the Society of Chartered Topographic Engineers, and therefore its graduates are allowed to enrol directly in that professional Society. |

Graduates qualified to practice the engineering profession in multidisciplinary groups can respond to the current and future needs of the labour market, both in Portugal and abroad. » Entrepreneurial capacity and dynamism, motivated to look for jobs in various sectors. » Good ability to integrate teams either as members or as their coordinator, guiding and directing multidisciplinary tasks. » Capacity for writing and structured synthesis for producing projects and reports. » Organizational, communication and interpersonal skills. » English proficiency with good speaking skills. » Ability to construct and solve problems. Enough motivation for a permanent update of their lifelong training, necessary at the equipment and software level and new methodologies for their application. » Autonomy in handling materials and equipment.
